Working with us

How we prepare a quotation?

Engineers at work at Creotech Instruments
01

Based on the information provided, we assess the complexity of the project, considering the required scope of assembly, the number of items in the Bill of Materials (BOM), the PCB stack-up, and the required soldering technologies. We also check the completeness and consistency of the technical documentation, including the alignment between the BOM and Pick & Place (PnP) files.

02

We identify any unclear or missing information and discuss it with the customer to clarify the project requirements.

03

We obtain pricing and availability information from our trusted suppliers for the required electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, production materials, and PCBs. For certain specialised components, this process may take up to 2 weeks.

04

We calculate recurring costs and non-recurring costs (NRE) associated with production preparation. We also estimate the time required to complete the assembly process, taking into account the specific characteristics and requirements of each project.

05

We review the project requirements against available production capacity and time slots. Based on this assessment, we prepare a proposed production and delivery schedule.

06

We incorporate all the collected information, cost calculations, and proposed delivery dates into a comprehensive quotation for the customer.

Information required for a quotation

Electronics manufacturing is a custom service tailored to the requirements of each project. Projects vary in terms of manufacturing processes, components, and materials used. That is why providing a complete set of technical documentation at the beginning of our cooperation is essential for us to accurately assess the scope of work and prepare a reliable quotation.
